Welcome to the US Cross-Country Ski History website.

The creators of this site are will depend upon you, the people of our sport, to provide content.  There is far too much history for the small number of us who are starting up this project to make a meaningful dent in that history.  This website will only become a valuable resource to the cross country skiing community if all of us make it work.

In order to add your own content, first Register as a Contributor.  Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. After verifying your email address, you will receive a second email with the username that you used to register. You will then be able to Log in and add new posts and images.

How to Add Content

This 10 minute video tutorial covers how to create and edit a new post on the US Cross-Country Ski History website in WordPress. Pause as you need to if you are a new contributor or unfamiliar with WordPress, or scroll through the video if you are already familiar with some aspects of creating new posts in WordPress.

After your contribution is submitted, it will be reviewed, possibly edited a bit (for clarity or brevity), maybe fact-checked, and then added to the website, which will add to the accumulated, documented history of our sport. Once it has been approved, you will no longer be able to edit your post unless you have an Editor or Administrator role. You can add comments to the post.
